DONNA THOMPSON OBITUARY

1948 - 2015

THOMPSON, Donna Jean
"On Jordan's stormy banks I stand and cast a wishful eye,
To Canaan's fair and Happy Land where my possessions lie!"

Although she left us too soon, Donna Jean Thompson RAN, on both legs, to Jesus on Saturday, April 4th. Born May 25, 1948, in Miami, Florida, Donna grew up in Miami, and throughout her life traveled to and lived in Pharr and Houston, Texas; Phoenix, Arizona; Las Cruces, New Mexico; and finally settled in Austin, Texas in 2007. Her career as a Legal Secretary, serving in many prestigious law firms, spanned nearly 40 years. Donna was loved and respected by all who knew her. She could light up any room she walked in to with her huge laugh and beautiful bright blue eyes. This beauty that shone from her was mostly because of her walk with the Lord. She had an innate Godly perspective and was willing to share her always wise counsel. Donna was a gifted musician and sang with the richest alto voice! Heaven's choir is that much sweeter now. She is survived by her Sister, Wanita Thompson; Brother, David Thompson; Niece, Becky Frost and Great-Niece, Annalyssa Frost-Jimenez; Nephews, Daron Thompson and Daniel Morin; and her canine companions, Snickers and Tawny.
