I will forever remember our Prom and I was so happy to be Herb's date for the evening. We all had such a great time and I will never forget it. I have thought about him often through the years. It was sad to hear of his passing and I pray he is at peace. He was a good man and as sweet as he could be.

What a very sweet way to describe that memory. Indeed RIP, Herb.

I remember Herb so very well because he did not live far from me. However, in the mid 1970's, as a Police Officer with the City of Miami, I ran into Herb on a call one night, I will not go into the specifics, but I transported him to Jackson Memorial Hospital Psychiatric Unit. I think he remembered me but not sure, but he will always be a friend and great athletic.

I knew Herb through my Capri sister, Ginny (MHS-65).  He hung around our meetings and was known for a super sweet guy....so friendly and thoughtful!  RIP.

I believe his passing was due to Diabetes.

A true gentleman.

I lived a couple blocks from Herb as a young boy. I think Herb may have had family issues which could have been the reason for Herb's personal problems. He was a very nice young man. I was really sad to hear of Herb's eventual mental issues and eventual passing.
