Danny Davis

Sadly, we have lost another Stingray, “Danny" Davis 77, of Boynton Beach FL.  He passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2025.

Danny was born in Miami FL. He attended Kinloch Park Elementary, Kinloch Park Junior High & graduated Miami High, Class of “66”.  He also attended Miami Dade Jr College after high school.  Years later he returned to Miami Dade Jr College and earned an AA Degree. 

After high school Danny worked for Bellsouth but eventually was hired by Dade County Parks and Recreation where he was manager of various county parks such as Amelia Earhart and Haulover Park.  Danny worked for Dade County Parks 25 years retiring in his early 50’s.  He retired to Lake Wales, Fl., and enjoyed playing golf and taking trips with his friends.  Last year he moved to Georgia, but due to failing health he chose to return to Florida to be closer to family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Coy Lee Davis and his mother, Willie Mae Davis.  He is survived by his sister, Dianne (Davis) Hydes, brother-in-law Robert Hydes, nephews Eric Hydes and Andrew Hydes, great nephews and great nieces and many lifelong friends.
