Charles Fleming

OBITUARY

Charles Thomas Fleming

DECEMBER 25, 1948 – JULY 28, 2021

Charles passed away peacefully in the company of his wife Claudia and two sons, Michael and Brian. He graduated from Miami Senior High School with his wife in 1966. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and spent eighteen months in Vietnam. In 1970 he fulfilled a life long dream when he began a career with the City of Miami Police Department. He spent the next twenty-three years as a patrolman, juvenile detective, police academy instructor, dispatch supervisor and hostage negotiator. After a few restless years of retirement, he went to work for the National Park Service. He spent the next fifteen years working at Everglades, Acadia, and Carlsbad Caverns National Parks. He is survived by his wife, two sons, three grandchildren, and a loving extended family that includes nephews, a sister-in-law, step children and their children. You will be missed here on Earth. Rest in peace.
