I took typing at MHS because it was all girls. I did well. That skill got me an air conditioned office in Vietnam for my entire tour. I had officers almost fighting to get a typist. The Highest ranking officer won (me). I worked 7 days a week from 6PM to 7AM mostly all by myself. I got little vacations (R&R) to Australia, Thailand & Japan. 'Even took a "delay in route" on the way home in Hawaii, where I got to see Chicago in concert and tried a little surfing. Then after discaharge in San Francisco, I went to Las Vegas and lost most of my money. Luckily, I had already bought my ticket home to Miami on National Airlines.
